I've often wish Calgary would look at whatever Canmore used, and do that. So many gravel pathways instantly erode in this city. And you can tell just looking at it that it doesn't' have any "sticky" qualities to hold it together. More clay!
Yeah, paved pathways tend to heave and buckle with weather changes, which is a pain in the ass to fix and a problem for users - if you come across a heave point on a paved bike path, you know what I mean. A good gravel path is more flexible, cost effective and user-friendly.

A lot of people here seem to want nature trails and outdoor living without nature and outdoor stuff like animals.
