Just completely absurd. Canada was wrong to do it. If you want the dirt on your opponent either send an assistant to watch the open practice or...more efficiently, just get a tape of their last competitive match which, honestly, would be far more useful.
FIFA is wrong to punish it because, I'm not sure theres a rule against it, although there probably should be.

Using a drone may or may not give an advantage, but it is illegal in France and Olympic officials warned teams against it prior to the games. Rules were clearly broken, whether you think they were good rules or not.
