I hate this list. I hate the thinking that just because something is old, it's automatically better. I just hate that mentality, someone in the sci-fi list thread stated that the list mainly sucks because it is dealing with only contemporary films. Not he may have a point in the sense that the list should include some older stuff, but that doesn't mean the list sucks.
AFI's list gives too much respect to films from before the 70's. It's almost as if they don't have the balls to dethrone Citizen Kane as number one. I'm sorry, Citizen Kane is a freeking bore, a snooze fest, but it gets number one because its Orson Welles and it was revolutionary for its time. Great, make it the number one movie of its own decade, not of all time. In my opinion, the Godfather should easily take number one spot. Im rambling here, but i hate it when people "over-respect" history.
