Konency has one PPG season (in 60 games), and has averaged 69 points and 30 goals per 82 games over the last three seasons...and he got $8.75M x 8M from 28-35 years old as a winger.
Think if he got anything over $7M in the past it would have been called a big overpay...but in a rising cap world the number actually works...although I do doubt it will age well still for the last 3-4 years of the contract.
