Blood and Guts was entertaining...but honestly between Wargames, Blood and Guts, and Anarchy in the Arena I'm a bit over these "shock fest" matches that are just messy matches with a couple of high spots to shock you.
And then finish to the matches are always a bit of a mess.
Wouldn't mind seeing an actual traditional 8 or 10 man elimination match where you have somebody have to overcome the odds being down 3-1 or something to end the match.
Like what would have been better...the way Blood and Guts ended...or...
Swerve is the final member of team AEW with Okada, Hangman, and Nick or Matt left with a 3-1 advantage.
Hangman goes for the Buckshot and Sweve ducks and hits Okada, allows Swerve to eliminate Okada. Then have Swerve eliminate Matt or Nick, and it's down to Hangman vs Swerve.
Hangman and Swerve are going back and forth, then Okada comes back out and attacks Hangman. Which allows Swerve to get the pin on Hangman and the win for team AEW.
Swerve ends up looking strong which he always hasn't as champion so far.
Hangman and Okada both cost each other a pinfall, which helps protect them and also sets up their match for All In.
And you could have set up Bucks vs Acclaimed and Perry vs Darby in the match too in other ways.
I feel like both AEW and WWE rely too much on the spots in these matches instead of telling the actual story in the ring.
