Every Republican is mad because Biden was a very weak candidate, there was no drama with his replacement, and Vance was an ego pick by Trump. Biden bowing out was bad for Trump, so they really needed a fractured Democrat nomination to embrace the chaos and sow some discord.
The best part is that outside of all the criminal and rapist baggage that Trump has is that they can basically use all of the messaging the GOP has against Biden and throw it in Trump's face.
