Yes. It was stupid. That's why only the stupid ones did it. And why stupid people think it was smart of him to do it.
Has it occurred to you that Republicans and Fox News have a vested interest in making the dems look like disorganized sht shows? A monkey like this just feeds that narrative Fox pushes.
So yes, it was clear Biden was too old, I don't think anybody loved him, but most left-leaning people appreciated the team he assembled and preferred dem policies to republican ones. And also most left people don't want a moronic psycho in office, so Biden was always a vote against Trump.
The debate was perfect because it was so egregiously bad for Biden that everyone knew he wouldn't be running after that. It made it impossible, so was a bit of a relief that Biden's hand was forced once and for all.
But I agree that many dems thought Biden wasn't the right choice for 2024. He was supposed to be a one-term president and it was frustrating nobody was being groomed in that past four years to be an obvious choice to run. Hopefully Harris can pull this off. I have to say, I do prefer her to Biden, so I'm glad she's in and he's out. I don't find her to be particularly charismatic, but Obama-level charisma is likely a once in a generation thing. There just aren't that many humans of his caliber walking around looking to take on the crappiest job in the world.
