Although logical that Biden would endorse his VP as the nominee, I do question the logic in not just stepping down and allowing the Democratic party to select someone.

Harris has a better but not excellent chance at beating Trump
If Trump ends up winning, what does that actually say about the Democrats, Biden's legacy and more? Biden stepping down solves an age issue which was evident to a lot of people minus the homers. The questions still stand though, why did they all allow this and how much covering up of mental lapses has occurred? The tell all books that are coming are going to be interesting.
If Trump does win, it would highlight something of importance. The American people wanted him as their leader, right or wrong.
