I am way too lazy to find all the polls that showed Texas was within the margin of error in 2016, but yeah Trump still won it comfortably. Also, the article says Biden was still up 8, so that's not exactly in play. Its just the Dems normally win New York by 20+, so it just shows how much he was bringing down their numbers even in comfortable states.
