DOJ lawyers are uniquely placed to understand the danger Trump and the Republican party pose to the rule of law and democratic institutions. It is important that they speak out as this video demonstrates. Her analysis is correct across the board. It's an important interview and hopefully other DOJ lawyers, particularly former ones who can't be threatened in the same way as current employees, speak out in this way.
This goes back to my point in an earlier post that many Trump supporters simply don't understand the fabric of their own democracy, and that the "administrative state" they openly seek to dismantle is effectively the machinery of democratic government. Americans need to understand what's at stake when these institutions and principles are attacked.
