I look at his "successful business career" and see 6 casino bankruptcies, a fraudulent university and charity, and other failed junk like Trump Steaks, GoTrump, Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump Mortgage, Trump: The Game, Trump Magazine, Trump Ice, The New Jersey Generals, Tour de Trump, Trump Network, Trumped!
And all this from a guy who was born with a silver spoon shoved up his ass. The only thing that succeeded before he became president was The Apprentice, which was all about portraying him as some kind of business genius he was very much not, and the cruelty of firing people in dramatic fashion. Really the only things Donald has ever been good at are deceiving people, and appealing to the absolute worst parts of human nature.

The problem with his rhetoric is not that it's direct - it's that it's deeply fascistic and designed to normalize the idea of persecuting and even eradicating political opposition. There's a reason why calling the media the enemy of the people, calling certain groups of people vermin who need to be rooted out, and poisoning the blood of the country, are things that Trump has said, and are also things Hitler said to achieve his aims.

He has been empowered by bootlicking sychophants every step of the way. If there was any sanity in the GOP at all, he would have been removed from office following his first impeachment, and that would have been the end of his fascist ambitions. But he escaped that due to the GOP cult, then escaped it again after he incited an insurrection, then avoided accountability for his crimes thanks to this treasonous SC. None of these escapes are Trump's doing, it's the people enabling him that are making this all possible.
