I didn't watch his speech so I won't comment on the first part of your comment, but as for why you like him... I'll add some counterpoints.

I completely understand why people don't like Trump. He's outspoken, harsh, rude, and arrogant to say the least. But, here's why many people do like him.
His Experience - Trump has a long history as a businessman and real estate developer. This experience in business helps him understand economic issues and promotes pro-business policies.
|
I don't think he actually understands economic issues. His weird fascination with tariffs and implying that the exporting country pays them being front and centre. Pro-business can be another term for pro-oligopoly. He wants all regulations gone to the detriment to peoples' health and safety. Bill ionaires benefit but not average people.

His Deal-Making - He's known for his ability to negotiate and make deals, Trump has leveraged this skill in both his business career and now in his political dealings.
|
He has that reputation, but is it earned? What deals did he broker while in office that were worth a damn? I do give him credit for getting the covid vaccine research a boost (pun intended). Somehow you probably don't agree.

He's Action Oriented - His approach to swiftly implementing policies and taking action on his promises is appreciated by those who are tired of governments who are all talk and no action.
|
He was quick with the pen signing executive orders but he really didn't fulfill his major promises. Only a fraction of "the wall" exists; He never got an infrastructure bill passed; he did absolutely nothing on health care.

His Economic Policies - Trump has implementing policies that reduced taxes and deregulated industries, which many supporters believe spurred growth and reduced unemployment rates during his tenure.
|
Unfunded tax cuts that only added trillions to the deficit. Overall the country lost jobs during his presidency. Covid was a big factor but you can't say unemployment rates were reduced.

His Directness - While many on the left hate it, Trump’s communication style is direct and unfiltered, which many find refreshing compared to typical political rhetoric.
|
I'd be fine with less political rhetoric if it weren't for the constant lies, racism, and whining that comes out of his mouth constantly.

His Handling of Adversity - Despite facing numerous controversies, lawsuits, and challenges, Trump has shown resilience and an ability to bounce back from setbacks. This is something great leaders are good at.
|
What? Nobody has thinner skin that DJT. He's constantly complaining about witch hunts and he was so unable to accept that he lost an election he oversaw an insurrection. Seriously, what adversity did he face?
Quote:
His Tenacity - His persistent nature and determination to pursue his goals, regardless of obstacles, are qualities admired by his supporters.
|
All fueled by narcissism. His need for constant praise keeps him going.
Quote:
His Public Presence - Trump’s charismatic presence, showmanship, and confidence are key qualities to have when dealing with leaders from other countries.
|
No world leader who isn't in power for life shows any respect for him. They see him for the clown he is.
