I do think a lot of people are just dumb and uninformed. They also can’t comprehend any issue that doesn’t directly affect them already. Even when it does, they don’t know who to blame and since they’re dumb and uninformed, they blame who the politicians to blame.
When trans people are classified as pedophiles and the punishment for being a pedophile is the death penalty (project 2025) people like that will learn too late that these issues do affect them.
