The trade was fair. I'm still not convinced it was the homerun everyone made it out to be ignoring everything that transpired after.
We traded a 24 year old 100 point "unicorn" RFA for a 100 point 30 year old UFA, a 30 year old top 4D, a late 1st and a depth prospect.
Just as some random hypothetical but I would of happily of traded UFA lindhol, hanifin, a late 1st and schwindt for a petterson, stzutle or robertson level player.
I understand that Tre was backed into a corner and did the best he could. It was a good deal given the circumstances. It was never a home run.
