Lots of beautiful back country down there. We've been slowly exploring the back roads between Pincher and Coleman. Camped at Beauvais Lake about a month ago and found a back road between Beaver Mines & the highway, that dumps out in Hillcrest. Gorgeous back in there. A friend of ours lived down there as a kid, then moved back to the CP to work as a young adult. Lots of interesting stories to tell and he's always pointing out roads for us to go exploring down. At some point, I'd like to get up to North York Creek, where an RCAF DC-3 crashed in 1946. There's allegedly a "ghost town" north of the Frank Slide Interpretive Center that I'd like to find too.
I really like the area. Not super touristy, seems fairly quiet. Wicked storms in that area in the winter, from some of the commentary I've seen on road conditions there.
