I'd propose some sort of knowledge test, such that if you want to be Alberta Premiere and you don't understand you are not American and can't pardon whoever the #### you want, or you don't understand how marginal tax rates work, you are immediately disqualified from ever holding office. In an ideal world, voters would take that into consideration. But since that protection seems to be lacking, perhaps some legislation to protect the rest of us?
