I get what you are saying. It's still a pretty veteran heavy team considering it's a build. I'm not too worried about it though. They'll mix lines and award ice time accordingly. Fans seem to get uptight with line mixing, but every team does it. Plus, you factor in injuries.
I expect the Flames to really take advantage of back and forth movement between the AHL and NHL again. I could also see guys like Duehr, Hunt, and Rooney moving up and down despite being one one-way deals
It also wouldn't be too surprising to me to see some trades earlier than the trade deadline to ship out pending UFAs or veterans that aren't in the long term plans. With teams having more cap space, I could see more pre-trade deadline moves this year as some teams will be more motivated to get the jump earlier.
