I don't get how all this concealed weapon talk and protecting your family is connected.

You don't feel Canada is safe, because we have to rely on our government for our protection, and they do a poor job. So we should be allowed to protect ourselves. Your proposal is to emulate the US and allow it's citizens to carry guns. How is America safer than Canada?

Please fill this in for me.
