NYR don't seem overly interested in moving, price is steep (1st+ right now) but that could change as we get closer to the end of summer.

The biggest worst kept secret is the rumor of offer sheets and its going to be a real thing from all accounts. Lots of teams are looking to capitalize on cap strapped teams with bigger names to sign, what was once frowned upon sounds like no longer will be a concern for a number of teams.
This should start happening real soon with arbitration cases coming shortly. Almost its own "deadline frenzy" to be expected.

On Laine - Still wants to be traded, though Columbus is still trying to maximize value. As of right now teams are comparing it to the Kuznetsov dump where I think WSH got a 3rd and had to retain 50% to move him. Yes Laine is younger (26) vs 31 when Kuznetsov was moved but the biggest concern for most teams is the fact that he's still in the NHLPA player assistance program and there's no certainty when he'll be released from that.

Doesn't see a scenario where a team takes the full salary, almost certainly will need a 50% retention. The return is what's holding it up, belief is Columbus is currently wanting a 1st round pick which seems highly unrealistic.
The offer sheet stuff would be fantastic.
