Huberdeau has 7 years left at 73.5MM....and his contract is buy out proof. I'd argue that we don't need the $$$ and cap space in the next 3 years, but it starts getting valuable after 4 years and having Huberdeau at 10.5MM hurts.

Meh. Huberdeau's $10.5M becomes less and less relevant and more and more buyout capable as time goes on, the cap goes up etc. Plus you'd be taking on someone who's a proven lazy ass player and a problem in Anderson. Gallagher is a team guy but he's going to be a drag as well. And they are both RW when you need room for the kids. At least Huberdeau seems to be well liked, tries hard, and has some things to show the young players.
