Knowing that Treliving has a fixation on certain players and LOVES to give out dumb contracts with term, I also wonder if it could've been the Leafs with that offer, which would have disappeared once they got either Tanev via trade (due to the $$$ and term they committed to him) or OEL (who would fill more of the same type of role as Kylington)
Edit: Just saw the tweet claiming it was WSH with the offer
