For me it's a moot point... I am really proud of Canada but let's be realistic, that's one of the best national teams ever possibly that they played. Canada is a developing soccer nation still, look at our U20 roster right now for this critical qualifying tournament for the world cup, our talent pipeline is just not that good compared to any other nation around the top 40. It's a bunch of MLS B and C teamers with a small handful of euro youth teamers and CPL players mixed in - we will be lucky to qualify probably and there is little to no help coming in the short term except maybe Costa
My opinion is that no manager will allow us to beat Argentina in a semi of a major tourney right now with our roster and talent pool, excepting maybe the 1/20 fluke result. If we were going to go down, at least Marsch is the kind of manager who encourages positive entertaining play. He was a train wreck at Leeds but I've like the confidence and aggression he's bought to Canada and am fine with him until 2026.
We're stuck with the players we've got and he plays to our strength which is keeping the ball and attacking while building their confidence. Our centre backs are bad and bunkering or playing more conservative with this team is a recipe for disaster.
