That’s exactly it. The UCP and governments like them have shown no problem going after groups of people they hate. They don’t need a federal government that does the work for them, they need a federal government that is going to stay out of their way.

It’s not enough to be indifferent or say you won’t actively roll back rights and freedoms, you actually have to stand for protecting them on every level.

But people don’t want to talk about the elephant in the room so they call it fear mongering hoping the people they hate shut up about it. But, as has been pointed out, those people are in the tiny, vocal minority. These issues are never going away, because the only people who are complacent about them are the people who don’t value them.
