The current generation OLED panels, especially Samsung's QD-OLED, have significantly improved brightness compared to even a few years ago (2024 Samsung flagship QD-OLED vs 2021 Sony flagship OLED using LG's White OLED panels ):

They're still well behind mini-LED LCD TVs for brightness but it most daytime situations it might be enough as long as the sun isn't shining directly at it. Most media, even the highest quality movies also generally don't run at high brightness for the entire screen.
And if you watch it at night, an OLED's panel ability to display very dark scenes with intensely bright spots gives an impact that can only be matched by the very best LCD TVs (like the Sony Bravia 9).
