I don't mind this deal for Buffalo. They needed a guy in the middle with size and some idea how to play defense. McLeod plays on both sides of the puck and brings the right skillset they are looking for. He's also the right age for the group they are building around. McLeod will contribute immediately and not be a concern for the team about how he develops. Savoie, while a very skilled player, is a smallish player and will need to find the right team to play for. Edmonton can take the gamble as they are going to be hurting for talent in the near future, especially if McJesus and Drysaddle blow town.
