That was based on what the BB boys were talking about. I suppose that could be incorrect.
From all that I can gather Oliver Kylington was never officially placed in the player assistance program. The only statement we got from the Flames is that he was given "leave" to focus on his mental health. We do know however (from Conroy) was that Oliver was seriously contemplating whether or not he wanted to play hockey professionally moving forward. The Flames gave him the time to do that. It's a tricky situation, and yes, we don't know all the facts.
All I am saying is that IF he turned down a fair offer (which has been strongly hinted at), I can certainly understand how some bridges were burned within the organization given the circumstances.
