If we can be patient enough we'll see a kid improve his skating and defensive side put on some more weight and be less injury prone. Even if he made the AHL level he'd have to fight for his life....the ECHL and AHL are full of guys who are trying to make the show but never will and run around trying to take runs at the sure next thing and if you don't think so you aren't paying attention.
At the same time I don't want the Flames roster plugged up with Knuckdraggers just to protect rookies . I'm so done with that mentality on this team where we have to have a nuclear deterrent.
That doesn't help score goals , the game is changing and fighting is down anyway.
