And sorry, I am not 100% sure it is too low. And you can absolutely put a set together for what you are looking to spend. I just don't know if you will have access to that at Modern (do they only fit for the current generation of clubs?)
I just played around on the GolfTown website and you can definitely put together a set of Driver-Fwy-Hybrid-Irons-Wedges(3) in the 2500-3000 range. That would not be current generation stuff, but still excellent equipment. And obviously if you have anything to trade in you can lower the price or upgrade some of your selections.
