Like all periods of momentary hardship, I hope people have learned some new, better ways of doing things.
You don’t have to run the dishwasher when it’s 1/2 full.
You don’t have to water your lawn.
You don’t have to have 20 minute showers, or leave the water running while you brush your teeth.
You don’t have to use a whole laundry cycle to wash that one shirt you wanted to wear, you can wait for a full load.
Of course, everyone can and will go back to doing all of these things. But the important thing is: we learned something, together, that we can immediately forget, together.
