But, here's the thing: Phillips was a sixth-round pick. It was always going to be a long-shot for him to even play games in the NHL, and yet he is one of six players from the sixth-round in the 2016 Draft to have played +30 NHL games. Phillips is a success story just for overcoming what he did to be who he is. But, by the same metric we should all be hoping that Basha is indeed "Philips [sic. 2.0," because if he overachieves as much as Phillips did, he will become a terrific player.
The only similarity between Phillips and Basha is that they are both from Calgary. That's it.
