Oh and now misappropriated men and equipment, putting them at risk to rescue these Sikh's, meanwhile Interpreters and their families fleeing the Taliban were basically told they were on their own, and had to literally find wifi and take time to fill in paper work in Afghanistan while on the run. Oh top of that the non Canadian embassy staff, ie security, were told they were on their way out.
But Sajjan, the "Architect", has to do his own thing. And there are more questions that I would like to see answered. How did these Sikh's that have nothing to do with Canadians get the paperwork to get through Taliban checkpoints? And yes, as much as we can say, the Commander on the ground should have refused or questioned the mission, it doesn't work like that, the MND makes a suggestion, and its actually a god level order.
In a proper world, Sajjan should have been fired long ago, not allowed to resign, and keep his pensions. But been fired period. If a General in the Military did this, he would have been court marshalled and spent 2 years less a day in prison.

Fully agree with your post, Generals in the military don't really need to worry about large Sikh populations in vote rich southern BC and Ontario. A white guy (Trudeau) firing a visible minority like Sajjan doesn't play too well in a Temple when your trying to salvage votes.
Nothing wrong with playing politics but people can cut the BS and call things for what they are. This guy was beyond useless in every regard but filled enough boxes to get what needed to be done, done.
