Of course it’s an Edmonton thing. Vancouver and Montreal are world class cities. Calgary tho smaller is very nice and is known for the Stampede. Ottawa is the nations capital.
Edmonton has never had anything other than the oilers. They crave attention, it’s why they built the world’s biggest mall that just repeats stores. There is nothing more desperate than “building the world’s biggest mall”. Without the oilers, no one would know that Edmonton exists.
