They have next year? They can likely not even field a full roster unless they do some serious salary dumping. Signing 10 players with ~10M in cap space is not doable, and when 7 of those players are forwards it is impossible.
If they don't extend Draitsaitl this summer, they will also be staring down the barrel of losing him for nothing in 12 months, so the pressure is squarely on to make a move and to make it fast to free up cap room.
No draft picks, no cap room. It's starting to look like this window is closing. I find it truly hard to believe that they are going to find a bunch of bargain bin players willing to go at it again to fill these spots. Even if you want to offload Campbell and Kane, you still have to have assets to offer a team to take them and those are few and far between.
