That was an interesting result to the byelection.
The Liberals threw the sink at it, they had almost every member of caucus in St Paul's making calls, knocking on doors, posting pleas to vote, up through yesterday. The Liberals that couldn't get there were putting up glowing references for Church who was considered a hand picks star (Former staffer for Freeland in finance).
But the under 40% voter turnout was pretty telling, it feels like a lot of normal Liberal voters just stayed home, they didn't even bother to park their voice elsewhere.
The whole think was bizarre through, the ballot had 80 people on it or so, that's insane,
I doubt the results will change much when we head into the general election, there was a survey done that looked at replacements for Justin if he should step down, and it wasn't encouraging, I think the Liberals have poisoned their brand a little bit.
Liberals like Judy Srgio (sp?) have already come out and said they expected that they were going to lose but Justin should stay and fight the next election.
The Liberals like a aging hockey team need a serious rebuild and refocus.
