Not true. Some measurements (leg pads width, glove and blocker for example) have a universal maximum size and others are determined by the goalie's body (leg pad height, chest protector, shoulder pads, etc). Basically they removed the ability to have extra width on chest and shoulder pads, so your pads are as big as your body plus the protective layer. It can't prject beyond that.
