Still have to wake up and go to work.
Still get to hang out and have a blast with my daughter and wife.
Still get to be excited about who the Flames pick in the draft this week, and what trades might happen (Consider me one of those "Business of Hockey" fans PepsiFree is talking about).
And in the end the Oilers are still No Good, and it took 4 1st overall picks (including a generational talent) and 11 top 10 picks in a 13 year time period for them to win a cup. In 2015 when they won the McDavid lottery it seemed pretty inevitable that they would win a cup...it sucks because it looked like they might actually blow it...but this was always the most likely outcome once they drafted 97.

Yup. Just not a hockey thing either. Superstars usually end up winning.
I was just thinking how Messi kept losing with the national team, but they finally won.
Mackinnon, Crosby, Ovechkin. Gretzky, Mario, Sakic, Yzerman. Lindros is the only one that comes to mind that never won.
It is what it is.
