I still predict that at least one of them leaves after this, whether they win or not. Can you imagine re-signing and having to spend another 7 or 8 years in that city?? Yikes. I think both of them probably want to go to a nicer, warmer climate where they won't get stalked by dirtbag Oiler fans on a daily basis, and people will just leave them alone.
They've brought a Cup to Edmonton like they promised and their job would be done. It would be a perfect opportunity to go elsewhere and make some serious bank to close out their careers. If Edmonton still wants to ice a competitive team going forward, I doubt they'll be able to afford both of them.
