Bluechipper A+ = potential to be an all star player at their position and one of the best players in the game. Very few of these elite talents in the pipeline.

A = potential to be a top six player. Best at his position on his team and able to push a veteran out of the top six. Might be one or two per team, but usually only those with deep systems who have drafted early.

B = potential to be a middle six player.

C = potential to be a bottom six player.

D = potential to be a tweener to a good AHL player.

F = minor league pro in the lesser leagues (ECHL, Europe).

Would you say that is a fair rubric for rating? With that in mind, where do the Flames' prospects shake out? A lot of B and C level talent in the system, but no A level prospects. Might be able to make Jiri happy and go with a B+ for Wolf, but that would be it unfortunately. Need guys to overachieve and exceed their ratings to push the team forward.
I don't think those are the definitions scouts and writers use. Pretty much only A and B are expected to be NHLers IIRC.
