Giordano is 40 and was the oldest player in the NHL last year, on an $800,000 (U.S.) contract. He had three goals and six assists in 46 games, then didn’t play in the post-season. He did take a spin in warm-ups before Game 6 of the first round at Scotiabank Arena, perhaps his last appearance in a Leafs jersey.
“He clearly wants to play,” said Winter.
