I agree, but I'm guessing that a team won't go shopping for a Mangiapane while there are a bunch of similar wingers waiting on July 1st. Off the top of my head: Debrusk, Duclair, Zucker, Arvidsson, Drouin, Teravainen, P. Kane, Tarasenko, Toffoli, Bertuzzi, Domi, Mantha, and I'm sure there are more. I think once most of them are gone the demand would go up.

As for Sharangovich and Kuzmenko, I'm not sure if and at what number would the Flames like to keep them. I'm assuming that Sharangovich has more value due to age, but I could see Conroy being reluctant to move him. Kuzmenko just clicked here, so I personally really want to keep him purely for the entertainment value during a rebuild.

^ As far as overpaying bums. I don't mind it as long as you can trade them at the TD. Monahan brought back a 1st, Tanev 2nd + prospect.
