It's not that the Flames would be initiating that.
IIRC is was actually Kylington that stated in one of his discussions talking about that that he felt he he "owed" a great deal of gratitude to the Flames for how they handled it.
Like I said...if I worked for a company that paid me $4M to be able to handle my mental health issues then I would feel like I owed them.
I wouldn't be surprised if Kylington felt the same way.
Nobody ever said that the Flames should be going "we're only going to pay you this because you "owe" us."
