Yeah they just seem so conservative both in terms of personnel and strategy. They need a better more progressive CM to partner with Bellingham ahead of Rice and instructions to play forward. Wharton will be that guy but I don't know if he's ready yet - wouldn't mind seeing them try, his progressive passing is incredible for his age. Even if it's not him, TAA is brutal in that position and Gallagher has very poor passing, he runs around like a chicken with its head cut off which is fine for a lower table team looking to counter and sit deep, but neither is the answer in the engine room of a ferrari.

They hold the ball, go backwards constantly and you can tell the other team has instructions to press and take advantage of their inability/unwillingness to attack. Eze and Bowen had the ball in an attacking position facing goal once each in 20 minutes to end the game. You bring on that kind of firepower and two guys who can absolutely shred the best defenses in the world with fresh legs and fiddle around with the ball in your backline the whole time, hard to watch.
