2.big ticket? What are we talking about? 5 years, 6? What are you thinking he’s worth?

3. From almost all accounts I heard, specifically Steinberg, Mangiapanne is going to be traded. He wants out. I also suspect, strongly, that at least one of Kuzmenko, Sharangovich, and perhaps Coleman are moved this season as well. There will be spots. Further, I don’t think the Flames want to trot out a roster of 20 year olds. I think they see the value in having vets on the roster and, even better, ones that want to be here.

To me, this is exactly the type of UFA they should pursue. In part due to his age and his desire to want to play here, or closer to home. He fits. Plus they get the benefit of adding assets in moving those, Msngiapanne specifically, who don’t.
1. Coronato hasn't made the top 9 just yet. Currently we have:
Mangiapane - Backlund - Coleman
Pospisil - Kadri - Kuzmenko
Huberdeau - Zary - Sharangovich
This lineup currently has exactly 1 right shot in the top 9. Huska and/or Conroy were mentioning handedness when discussing the PP, and why it got going. Which in turn helps the forwards gain more confidence.

2. What I meant by a big ticket was something over $4M. Which isn't a cap hit you want to place on the 4th line. Hence it would be more likely for Debrusk to have a spot in the top 9 and the PP over the likes of Pelletier, Coronato, Honzek, or even Pospisil in the near future.

3. I don't disagree regarding Mangiapane, but I was also hearing that the market for him is extremely cold due to his caphit. Which could mean he's here until the TD. A guy like Coleman has a NTC, and I don't know with any certainty that we will trade Sharangovich or Kuzmenko for whom we just traded for last year. Also if we trade Kuzmenko then we traded they only right shot forward, so that brings back point 1.

Even if you make these moves is Debrusk the winger that's the best fit for the Flames? Because if we sign him then we can't bring in Duclair(or you name it), without taking a top 9 spot away from either Pelletier or Coronato. Do you see him playing on the Backlund line or as Huberdeau's winger instead of Sharangovich?
