Every move he has made has been a rebuilding move. There is almost no reason, based on actions at least, to expect that to change. Over the past year there have been a number of certainties in certain corners of this site
1) Flames ownership will never allow a rebuild - seems to have been put to bed
2) Flames ownership will never retain - seems to have been put to bed
I think more and more that the Flames ownership is willing to allow their hockey management team a lot of leeway to implement their plan. Because a lot of the accepted wisdom seems to be proving false in my mind.
