Pretty sure, actually. Our target is 480 MILLION litres of consumption per day.

Per: https://gosnappy.io/blog/how-many-re...ts-in-calgary/

there are 3,757 restaurants in Calgary. Because you don't get a glass of water on the table at McDonald's or fast casual places, we probably need to drop that number to say 2,000. Then let's assume they all do 200 covers per day (which I think is almost certainly high given how small some of these places are). That would be 400,000 diners per day, which given the population seems pretty high for a sit down restaurant meal per day, so I think I'm being conservative on the assumptions here. At 330 mL per glass, that's 0.13 million litres per day, or 0.027% of our lowered target consumption. I guess we could argue about the definition of the word negligible if you want.

And really Fuzz's solution of "tap water on request" probably eliminates essentially all of the wasted water here. Just my opinion, but I think "water that people use to drink" is probably the last thing we should cut from our water consumption, especially given we're at hundreds of litres per person per day in total consumption.
