It is funny to think about how much people would have bitched about that (presuming 16th would get disrupted a fair bit) and confidently stated how it should be a much faster project that shouldn't have the audacity to impact roads because pipes should totally run somewhere else or something.

The city doesn't have a team on standby 24/7 ready to lay 2 meter pipe? Shirley that exists somewhere within the Administrative Bloat Department that definitely always exists on all public works in a much different way than the private sector because we all say so, so it must be true even though we don't have any evidence other than the fact that everybody says it all the time so of course it's true!
