Schneider was a contract issue, much more so than Markstrom. The Devils were not guaranteed of a decade of play (and didn’t get one). They were guaranteed two years of play for their pick.
You wanted an exact match with age, salary, etc?

Markstrom was quite inconsistent since coming to CGY.
Doing it form memory, so correct me if I'm wrong:
2023-24: mediocre Oct, Vezina caliber Nov - TD, terrible Mar-Apr.
2022-23: worst starter in the league, couldn't make a save
2021-22: Vezina caliber regular season, worse goaltending than Mike Smith in the playoffs.
2020-21: Great start, terrible middle due to injuries, rebound towards the end.
