I did the dumbest thing on Friday, cleaning my garage I had some broken glass panels so I decided to make a dump run. Break the panels up an bit, put them in a cardboard box and into the back of my vehicle. The box was sitting a bit high so I decided to squish it down . . .
Put a glass dagger right into my hand just above the wrist on the left side, but I felt slices all through my hand in my thumb and index finger and that side of my hand goes numb instantly. Immediately look for blood to start pouring but only came from the wrist cut. After checking I only had the one cut and the other "cuts" must have come from a nerve or tendon. The stab is tiny so i wait a few hours but Its still numb and I can't put pressure on my thumb or index finger without getting a shooting electrical pain worse than the cut itself.
Decided to go to the hospital and after a lengthy wait they look at the cut which almost looks to have disappeared, give me a tetanus shot and some antibiotics and send me on my way saying come back in a few days if the numbness and such is still there. 2 days later and not getting better i'm probably going back tomorrow or tuesday but this leads me to my gear grinder.
tldr: practice wiping with both hands now in case you can't use your dominant hand in the future, I never would have thought something so basic would be so awkward and difficult.
