I have been wondering with all the rumours and the play of bob in game one if this increases Markstrom’s value or NJ want/need to trade for him. Puckpedia has 50% retention worth a 28th overall pick and 10th worth slightly more than two 28th overall picks. I see two trade templates both teams could look at; Markstrom @100% or Markstrom @50%.

If New Jersey wants/need to include Allen I would want something back for him as I don't need or want him but at that point we would need to add as he is a not negative or zero value player. At the point of them adding I would look at Bahl since we need Dmen and have too many wingers forwards.

Since NJ paid a late 2nd early 3rd in 2025 that is what they see his value at and if we WANT to get a deal done we HAVE to respect that whether or not we see his value there, that leaves what Bahl is worth. Which of our prospects/picks will get a deal over the line?

I have seen in this thread people mentioning Pospisil as NJ wants to get tougher to play against. While I think NJ would be happy with that I think his value to our team is higher than getting this trade done so we would offer something different. Who's value is close or equivalent to Pospisil's (Coronato, Honzek, Pelletier, Klapka, Stromgren)? As far as I see it Pelletier or Klapka are the two who are NHL ready and fit the bill as what NJ wants (even if the don't play exactly like Pospisil), so do you want 4th liner or a top 9LW? Since we are getting a DD we could give them one (Solovyov or Kuznetsov) because Allen still has value to them.
