Market history indicates that $6 million of retention is worth a late 1st. Two years of Markstrom himself is probably worth another late 1st. Add up the historical trade value of those two, and you're in the ballpark of #10 OA.
I'm reasonably confident that a deal is being discussed based on those assets. The teams are probably dickering over who has to add and how much, and the Flames are no doubt shopping Markstrom around in case they get a better offer.
